Opuntia microdasys Opuntia microdasys Here we have this Opuntia, possibly the other variety of Opuntia microdasys called Opuntia var microdasys pale. This is a species that together with the other variety (var microdasys albispina Opuntia), is very common to see, because the color of their gloquideos (those hairs that nail us rosarlos badly throughout the body, causing an itching sensation and irritation) make, within the genre, in the most beautiful. This species, not its varieties, is closely related with the rufida Opuntia species (brown glochids), so it is not surprising that some botanists treat it as one.
